Geoff & Dale Olsen and Josh Stewart joined us for a day on the roof, ceiling and fences on Monday.  The day started with a 6am rising, a 7am pick up, a 2+trip south, a 9.20 coffee and breakfast and a day of hard work, nails, rat and mice poo, batts, plywood, flashing (the metal kind!), screws, wire, fences, bacon & egg pie, muffins and coffee, and home.  It worked!

Anne and I enjoyed a picnic lunch at the Summer Theatre Wind in the Willows in the Christchurch Botanical Gardens today.  Mark Hadlow (the dwarf Dori in The Hobbit movie) steals the show as Toad.  The show was fast-paced, well scripted and had excellent props.  The setting was a quiet part of the Avon River where it loops around Hagley Park.  We walked Griff the Corgi along the track earlier this morning and he had his moment on the stage – even though the crowds had not yet turned up!
